Resident Doctors Threaten To Resume Suspended Nationwide Strike

Following the failure of the Federal Government to implement the Memorandum of Understanding, the National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has threatened to resume a suspended nationwide strike.

The President of the union, Uyilawa Okhuaihesuyi, in Abuja expressed that the agreement reached with the federal government led to the suspension of the nationwide strike action.

He, however, gave the federal government four weeks’ ultimatum.

The union also rejected the federal government’s N16000, N32000 hazard allowance proposals and insisted on 50% of their basic salaries as hazard allowance.
