APC Ogun Campaign Council has unveiled Governor Dapo Abiodun and three former governors of the state in its structure ahead of the 2027 elections.
The members of the council were unveiled in an official document signed by the Chairman of the Ogun State chapter of the party, Yemi Sanusi, and made available to journalists on Tuesday.
Abiodun was appointed chairman of the campaign council, while the party’s governorship candidate and senator representing Ogun West, Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, will serve as co-chairman.
Former senator representing Ogun East, Lekan Mustapha, was appointed Director-General of the campaign.
APC Ogun Campaign Names Daniel, Amosun as Deputy Grand Patrons
Former Ogun State governors Gbenga Daniel and Ibikunle Amosun were designated as deputy grand patrons of the APC Ogun Campaign.
Another former governor and national leader of the party, Olusegun Osoba, was named grand patron.
The appointments bring together prominent political figures in the state as the APC begins preparations for the 2027 presidential, governorship, National Assembly and State House of Assembly elections.
The 156-member campaign committee also includes several serving government officials and party leaders.
The Deputy Governor, Noimot Salako-Oyedele, and the party’s deputy governorship candidate, Kudirat Adegunwa-Balogun, were named deputy chairmen of the campaign team.
Sanusi will serve as vice-chairman, while the Secretary to the State Government, Tokunbo Talabi, was appointed Vice Director-General, Campaign Operations.
The Minister of State for Health, Kunle Salako, will serve as Vice Director-General, Administration.
The party also released the names of members of various committees responsible for coordinating its campaign and mobilisation activities across Ogun State’s 20 local government areas.
The committees include party leaders, political stakeholders and other APC members tasked with responsibilities covering grassroots mobilisation, media and publicity, logistics, contact and mobilisation, youth engagement, women engagement and other campaign operations.
According to Sanusi, the committees were constituted to strengthen the party’s structures and improve coordination ahead of the 2027 elections.
The APC Ogun State chairman urged members of the various committees to work together towards securing victory for the party in the 2027 elections.
He said the campaign structure would drive the party’s mobilisation efforts for the presidential, governorship, senatorial, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly contests.
The unveiling of the APC Ogun Campaign structure represents a major part of the party’s preparations for the 2027 elections as it steps up its mobilisation and consolidation activities across the state.
