Nigeria’s Hip-Hop star, Tiwatope Savage (Tiwa Savage), has revealed that she was a victim of fake love, saying that her only experience of true love has been with her son, Jamil.
In an interview with Zeze Mills, the 45-year-old singer reflected on her past relationships, concluding that what she once thought was love was merely infatuation.
“I’ve never felt true love except with my son. Looking back at my relationships, even my marriage, I realise it wasn’t love,” she shared.
Tiwa Savage expressed uncertainty about whether romantic love is destined for her.
“I’ve tried repeatedly, so maybe love isn’t meant for me in this lifetime,” she said.
The singer, who has been open about her romantic struggles in the past, reiterated her doubts about finding lasting love.
“Maybe love isn’t for me because I have tried over and over again, so maybe love isn’t for me this lifetime,” she added.
