Hassan Giwa Bags Workers’ Day Excellence Recognition Award

The Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers’ Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU), Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) chapter in connection with Lord’s Wisdom Network and Entertainment has honoured Arc (Dr.) Hassan Olawale Giwa with the Workers’ Day Excellence Recognition Award.

The award, according to the organizers, was in recognition of Arc Hassan Giwa’s great contributions to the society, champion and promotion of people’s welfare and service to humanity in general.

In a recognition letter signed by the organizers of the event, Deacon Akinyemi Adisa, who is the Chief Coordinator and Convener and Comrade Adesuyi Daramola, NTA RATTAWU Chairman, acknowledged the support of the awardee for development of education sector in the state over the years.

They described Arc Hassan Giwa as an icon of societal transformation, whose efforts and contributions in the society can not be over emphasized. They commended him for his generosity and determination to inspire the lives of many youths positively, particularly the workers.

The Asiwaju Adini Musulumi of Ibadan land, who was represented at the event by Comrade Monsur Bello, in his message of appreciation to the organizers, expressed his happiness for the award being given to him to recognize his efforts.

While dedicating the awards to workers in Oyo State and Nigeria at large, he said that contributing to the development of the society is part and parcel of his foundation’s policy.

The founder of Hassan Olawale Giwa (HOG) Foundation described the award as a motivating factor that most of the time encourages people to do more. He, therefore, said that he will not relent on his oars to use whatever within his capacity to support the development of the society.

He charged workers in the country to remain committed and dedicated to their work to change the fortune of the country to better.

Hassan Giwa described workers as the bedrock of every nation, whose interests must be championed with respect and should always be put at the forefront of the agenda.
