Due to the removal of Engr. Rauf Olaniyan, the Oyo State House of Assembly has confirmed the nomination of Barrister Bayo Lawal as the new Deputy Governor.
The request for the confirmation was contained in a letter forwarded by the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde and read by the Speaker, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin during the plenary on Monday.
The House Majority Leader, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin moved the motion for the confirmation of Barrister Bayo Lawal, while Hon. Qosim Olayanju seconded the motion.
Barrister Bayo Lawal, an indigene of Kishi in Oke-Ogun area part of Oyo State, was a former commissioner during the administration of late Alhaji Lamidi Adesina.
