Yemi Solade staged miracle revelation has sparked fresh discussion after the veteran Nollywood actor disclosed that he was once recruited and paid to pretend to have a physical disability during a church service.
Solade made the startling disclosure during an interview with Feel Right News TV, on Wednesday, recalling an incident from his early years when he was still a student and had yet to establish himself as a popular actor.
According to the veteran actor, he was recruited to act as a cripple during the service and received payment for his participation.
“I have been used for a miracle then, when I was not popular. I acted as a cripple, they paid, I used the money to drink, then I was a student,” Solade said.
Yemi Solade Staged Miracle Revealed
Speaking about his experience, Yemi Solade revealed that he was approached to play the role of a cripple during a church service and was paid for his participation.
He said he used the money he received from the arrangement to buy drinks while continuing his studies at the time.
“I have been used for a miracle then, when I was not popular. I acted as a cripple, they paid, I used the money to drink, then I was a student,” Solade said.
The veteran actor explained that the incident took place many years ago, before his acting career earned him widespread recognition.
Actor Refuses To Name Those Involved
Despite revealing details about the incident, Solade declined to identify the individuals who allegedly recruited him.
He explained that the people involved are still alive and said he preferred not to mention their names.
“The people involved are still alive; I just don’t want to mention names,” the actor said.
His decision means that the identities of those allegedly involved in the staged service remain undisclosed.
Revelation Raises Questions About Staged Miracles
The Yemi Solade staged miracle revelation has drawn attention to longstanding concerns about the authenticity of some miracle claims made during religious services.
Solade’s account provides a personal recollection of an event in which he says he participated as a young student for financial compensation.
His disclosure has consequently renewed discussions about the alleged use of paid participants to create the appearance of miraculous healings during religious gatherings.
However, Solade’s account relates specifically to the incident he described and does not, by itself, establish that other miracle claims or religious services are staged.
Solade’s Career Before Nollywood Fame
At the time of the incident, Yemi Solade was still a student and had yet to establish himself as one of Nollywood’s recognised actors.
Years later, he built a successful career in the Nigerian entertainment industry, becoming known for his performances in films and television productions.
His latest revelation offers a glimpse into an unusual episode from his life before he became a household name in Nollywood.
