Fizzie Republic has issued a strong warning of possible legal action over alleged P3 copyright infringement, describing it as the unauthorised use of its Portrait Pole Post (P3) advertising format in campaign displays across parts of Ibadan.
The organisation alleged that campaign materials deployed in September 2026 by the APM campaign organisation amounted to P3 copyright infringement, claiming that the advertising format was used without its permission.
In a statement signed by Fashogbon Abiodun David, whom the company identified as the copyright owner of the P3 concept, the organisation said it had not granted the campaign organisation a licence to use the format.
The statement specifically referenced campaign activities associated with Seyi Makinde and Bimbo Adekanmbi, alleging that the P3 advertising format was used without prior authorisation or consultation with Fizzie Republic.
According to the organisation, the campaign displays constitute an alleged infringement of its intellectual property rights.
“Fizzie Republic will have no option than to take legal action against the infringers,” the statement said.
The organisation, however, urged the parties involved to regularise the use of the advertising format before the dispute escalates into a legal battle.
The company said it wished the campaign organisation well but maintained that appropriate licensing procedures must be followed whenever its Portrait Pole Post format is used.
The organisation also stated that photographic evidence of the disputed campaign displays had been attached to its publication.
