Wike, Makinde, Others Shun PDP Presidential Campaign Flags Off

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, his counterpart from Abia and Oyo States, Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, and Governor Seyi Makinde were absent were absent as Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flagged off its presidential campaign.

The party ahead of the 2023 general elections began its presidential campaign in Akwa Ibom State on Monday.

This indicated that the crisis rocking the PDP is far from being settle as several talks to pacify the Wike camp appear to abortive.

The aggrieved governors and members of their camp have shunned the party’s activities, indicating that they are not ready to support Atiku’s presidential ambition.

The PDP presidential campaign took place at place at the Nest of Champions Stadium in Uyo, the state capital.

Some of the dignitaries in the South-South States include the party’s presidential candidate and former Vice President, Akitu Abubakar, his running mate and Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa and Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel were at the venue.

Others include Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed and his Adamawa counterpart, Ahmadu Fintiri, former lawmaker representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye among other top party officials.
