The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has inaugurated the party’s National Campaign Council for the Saturday, August 15, 2026, Osun State Governorship Election.
The Governor Hope Uzodimma-led National Campaign Council was inaugurated on Tuesday in Abuja.
Prof. Yilwatda charged members of the Council to work assiduously towards securing victory for the party and its candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, at the polls.
It will be recalled that the APC on July 26 announced the composition of its National Campaign Council and its sub-committees for the Osun State Governorship Election scheduled for Saturday, August 15, 2026.
The party’s National Campaign Council is chaired by Senator Hope Uzodimma, who is the Governor of Imo State and Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum.
The Council also has Hon. Mai Mala Buni, Governor of Yobe State; Senator Godswill Akpabio, President of the Senate; and Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, Speaker of the House of Representatives, as Co-Chairmen.
Hon. Ibrahim Kabir Masari, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political and Other Matters, will serve as Deputy Chairman, while Senator Barau Jibrin, Deputy President of the Senate, will serve as Secretary of the Council.
