‎Atiku Son, Abba Joins APC…’His Decision Is Personal’- Atiku

The son of Nigeria’s former Vice President, Abba Atiku Abubakar, has joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).

‎His decision, according to him, is to mobilize support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

‎Abba Abubakar was received by the Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin, and the National Vice Chairman of the APC, North East, Mustafa Salihu, on Thursday in Abuja.

‎The former Vice President’s son also renamed his political group to Haske Bola Tinubu Organisation.

‎Meanwhile, in a swift reaction to the development, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said that the decision of his son, Abba Abubakar, to join the APC is entirely personal.

‎He said that such a decision is not the first in politics, and would not be the last.

‎”In a democracy, such choices are neither unusual nor alarming, even when family and politics intersect.

‎”As a democrat, I do not coerce my own children in matters of conscience, and I certainly will not coerce Nigerians.

‎”What truly concerns me is the poor governance of the APC and the severe economic and social hardships it has imposed on our people.

‎”I remain resolute in working with like-minded patriots to restore good governance and offer Nigerians a credible alternative that brings relief, hope, and progress,” Atiku said.
