PDP Loses Vice Chairmanship Candidate In Oyo

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Olorunsogo Local Government area of Oyo State has lost the Vice Chairmanship candidate in the forthcoming council election, Gbite Adetoro.

Adetoro died on Wednesday at an undisclosed hospital in Igbeti, his hometown following the injury sustained in an auto crash on Tuesday.

He was a son to a chieftain of the party in the state from Olorosogo Local government, Chief Jacob Adetoro.

According to report, Gbite Adetoro was to fill and sign some documents at the State Security Service at Igbeti, Olorunsogo Local Government office.

He was said to have arrived in Igbeti from Oyo town on Tuesday afternoon and left the DSS office, around 3pm, to attend to other matters in the town. Unfortunately, he had an accident around 6 pm on the same day and was said to have been rushed to hospital for medical treatment.

A source disclosed that, Gbite Adetoro was to be treated at the hospital before to taken to another hospital in Ilorin the following day, (Wednesday) for better treatment on the order of his aged father, Chief Jacob Adetoro.

He died around 6am on Wednesday, as a result of an injury sustained in the auto crash.
