The Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon. Tajudeen Abbas has charged the Super Eagles to go for the trophy in the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

ahead of the Super Eagles’ round of 16 cracker against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon on Saturday.
Abbas. in a message charged the senior national team to bring home the trophy.
He disclosed that Nigeria has the potential to win the African Cup of Nations, considering the array of stars and experienced players paraded by the Super Eagles.
The Speaker noted that football and other sports are potent tools for uniting Nigerians across ethno-religious lines, as citizens show more patriotism through their passion for the national teams.
While appreciating a delegation of the House currently in Cote d’Ivoire to cheer the Super Eagles to victory, the Speaker urges government agencies and managers of the team to ensure that their welfare is given the utmost priority.
