The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Tunji Disu, has been appointed by the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba as the new head of the Intelligence Response Team of the Nigeria police force.
DCP Disu replaces DCP Abba Kyari who is being investigated by the police authorities following an indictment by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
The appointment was contained in a statement by Police Public Relations Officer, Commissioner Frank Mba, who stated that the move is to plug the gap in the wake of the suspension of DCP Kyari.
DCP Disu and has a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the Adekunle Ajasin University, Ondo State and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the Lagos State University (LASU).
