Dr. Isiaka Kolawole, a former Special Adviser to the late Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, has died.
Kolawole was also the Director-General of Senator Teslim Folarin’s 2023 Oyo State Governorship Campaign Council.
The news of his death has prompted tributes from political associates, including Folarin, who described Kolawole as a trusted ally and committed progressive.

Before his death, Dr. Isiaka Kolawole served as a Special Adviser to the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi.
He was regarded as an experienced politician who served in various capacities and contributed to political activities in Oyo State.
Teslim Folarin Mourns Dr. Isiaka Kolawole
Senator Teslim Folarin expressed deep sadness over the death of Dr. Isiaka Kolawole in a condolence message shared on his Facebook page.
Folarin described Kolawole as his “good brother, trusted political ally and committed progressive,” recalling his role as Director-General of the 2023 Oyo State Governorship Campaign Council.
According to Folarin, Kolawole was one of the most straightforward, principled and disciplined politicians he had worked with.
He also praised the deceased for his leadership skills, maturity, sound judgement and wise counsel, noting that his contributions would be greatly missed.
Folarin said the death of Dr. Isiaka Kolawole was a painful loss to his family, friends, political associates, the progressive political family and the entire Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He extended his condolences to Kolawole’s family and loved ones while praying for divine forgiveness and eternal rest for the deceased.
“May Allah forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds and grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus,” Folarin prayed.
He concluded his tribute by saying, “Rest in peace, my dear brother.”
