Lagelu FM Loses Ace Broadcaster, Kola Oladapo

Popular broadcaster, Kola Oladapo (Mr. Nice Guy), has been announced dead.

His untimely death has thrown Lagelu FM 96.7 and the sister station, Splash 105.5fm broadcast community into serious mourning.

According to the General Manager of Lagelu FM, Mr. Babatunde Olawuwo, the deceased will be interred by 1pm on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Sango Cemetery, Ibadan.

It was gathered that Mr. Nice Guy died at an undisclosed hospital on the evening of Saturday, December 27, 2025, after a brief illness.

In an official statement, the management and staff of Lagelu FM described his death as a painful loss, noting that Oladapo’s presence went far beyond being a familiar voice on the airwaves, as he was a source of comfort, inspiration, and connection to countless listeners.

The station said the late broadcaster lived a life filled with purpose, passion, and genuine humanity, using his talent to inform, entertain, and uplift the public with warmth, excellence, and authenticity.

“He was a man of many talents who wore his greatness with humility and grace, leaving lasting impressions on colleagues, friends, and listeners alike,” the statement said.

Lagelu FM further described Oladapo as one of its finest professionals, a brother, and a true gentleman whose legacy would continue to echo through the halls and frequencies he once graced.

Though he may be gone from sight, the station noted that his impact, memories, and the love he shared would remain forever in the hearts of all who knew him.

The management and staff of Lagelu FM extended heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones, praying for strength to bear the irreparable loss.

Mr. Nice Guy is survived by his wife, children, and siblings.
