Oyo NLC Chairman, Kayode Martins Reacts To Makinde’s N80,00 Minimum Wage Approval

The Oyo State chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has applauded Governor Seyi Makinde for approving N80,000 as minimum wage for workers in the state.

Reacting to the news of the new minimum wage approval by the governor, the Chairman of the NLC, Comrade Kayode Martins, commended Governor Seyi Makinde for prioritizing the welfare of workers in the state

Oyo NLC Chairman said that upward review of the minimum wage from 70,000 to 80,000 by governor Makinde would create a work force that would make the state to be enviable among its peers in Nigeria.

He said by the time the agreement is signed, some agitations would still be presented to the governor for better performance of the workers in the state.

While appreciating workers in the state for their doggedness, Martins advised them to not relent in discharging their duties to the state as to whom much is given much is expected
