The Oyo State House of Assembly candidate for Lagelu constituency, Arc Hassan Olawale Giwa (HOG), has lauded the appointment of Asiwaju Yemi Aderibigbe as the Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial campaign in the state.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Ibadan on Tuesday, Arc Giwa described the appointment as a masterstroke, noting that Asiwaju Aderibigbe’s vast political experience and deep grassroots connection make him the right man for the job at this critical time.
He recalled that Asiwaju Aderibigbe, a legal practitioner, has served as Chairman of Akinyele Local Government and as Special Adviser on Transport in Oyo State. Giwa added that through those roles and years of party service, the new DG built strong ties with party faithful across the 33 local governments of the state.
“Asiwaju Aderibigbe is not just a legal mind. He is a grassroots politician, a bridge-builder, and a mobilizer par excellence. His political experience spanning several years and his connection with the people at the grassroots will be invaluable to the success of our campaign,” Giwa stated.
The APC Lagelu candidate expressed confidence that under Aderibigbe’s leadership, the campaign would be well-coordinated, inclusive, and would deliver overwhelming support for the APC governorship candidate and all other party candidates in 2027.
Arc Giwa prayed for God’s wisdom, strength, and success for the new DG as he assumes the crucial responsibility of leading the party to victory.
