WC Qualifiers: ‘Allow Us To Do Our Job’ Finidi Tells Fans

Head Coach of Super Eagles, Finidi George

Following the Super Eagles of Nigeria 1-1 draw with the Bafana Bafana of South Africa at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Friday, the Head Coach of the team, George Finidi has told the fans to allow the technical team to do its job.

Finidi George reacted to fans’ reaction during and after the match, saying that nobody will tell them to change a player.

According to him, “Nobody is going to tell me when to change a player that’s not going to happen… We will change a player when we know we can change him…

“For me it’s what you can give to me on the field of play, everybody wants this or that player to play, but at the end of the day if their choice is featured in a game and did not perform – you guys will still be shouting take him off.

“Everybody is a coach today- that’s the truth because it’s like when you are playing draft – when you stand outside the board you see and know everything but when you are brought on the hot seat on the bench you don’t see anything anymore.

“So let us do our job, we know who is good to go and definitely we have another game and we can see how we can play these guys.

“People can say what they want, but we are focused on getting the job done,” the team Head Coach said.
