Shooting Stars Sends Former Head Coach, Edith Agoye Abroad For Higher Coaching Course

Following his efforts and commitment to the Club, the management of Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan has sought the approval of the state Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde to send the former Head Coach of the Club, Olumide Edith Agoye on a higher coaching course abroad.

This came after the Club management acknowledged and accepted the voluntary resignation of the head coach.

The former Super Eagles player was on Tuesday tendered resignation letter after he has served at different capacity for nine years.

Agoye appreciated the state government, management and fans of the Ibadan Soccer Lords for the privilege given him to serve the Club.

This was contained in a press statement by the Chairman of the Club, Babatunde Olaniyan on Thursday.

The Chairman appreciated Agoye’s efforts to the development of the club spanning a decade, particularly as he guided the team to the elite division, Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) at two different occasions, the recent being in the 2020/2021 season.

Olaniyan, who was the former Deputy Speaker of Oyo State House of Assembly, specially thanked the state Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde for the approval given the club to send Agoye to the United Kingdom for higher coaching course in appreciation of his efforts to the Club.
