After 55 Days In Bandits’ Captivity: 29 Kaduna Abducted College Students Regain Freedom

Abductors of the Federal College of Forestry Mechanization have released the remaining 29 abducted students after 55 days in their captivity.

The Chairman of the Parents’ Committee, Mr Abdullahi Usman, confirmed the release of the students by bandits to Channels Television on Wednesday.

He explained that the victims were released some minutes past 4pm around the Kidanda area in Giwa Local Government Area of the state, and were on their way back to the state capital.

Usman, however, refused to disclose the amount paid as ransom to the bandits for the release of the students.

Authorities in the state and the Kaduna State Police Command have yet to confirm the latest development.

The students were released after spent 55 days in the captivity of the bandits who abducted them in Igabi Local Government Area part of Kaduna State on March 11.
