In a heartwarming display of compassion and community spirit, the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, hosted hundreds of widows, elderly citizens, and children from Ibarapa East Local Government to a special festive get-together in Eruwa.

‎The event, held in the spirit of Christmas and the New Year at the popular Ori-Oke Ogundoyin, featured distribution of food items, clothing materials, and cash gifts to over 1,000 beneficiaries.

‎The Speaker said the outreach was part of an enduring tradition started by his late father, Chief Adeseun Ogundoyin, and his late mother, Chief Mrs. Tina Ogundoyin, both of whom were known for their philanthropic gestures to the vulnerable in society.

‎”This is a legacy I grew up witnessing, and I’m proud to sustain it. Supporting the widows, elderly, and children in our community is not only a moral obligation, but a family tradition that has been part of us for decades.”

Hon. Ogundoyin also used the occasion to celebrate children, who received special treats and gifts in the festive spirit.
