The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, has extended warm congratulations to Hon. Akinola Adekunle Alabi, the lawmaker representing Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, on his installation as Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Hon. Alabi’s elevation to this prestigious traditional title took place on Friday, May 23, 2025, at the Olubadan Palace, Oke Aremo, Ibadan.
The ceremony was presided over by the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba (Dr.) Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin.
Hon. Ogundoyin described the installation of Hon. Akin Alabi as Jagun Olubadan as a well-deserved honor and the recognition of his impact on Ibadanland.

Ogundoyin further commended Alabi’s commitment to youth empowerment, emphasizing that his new role within the Ibadan chieftaincy structure would serve as another avenue for him to advance the interests of the people.

Akin Alabi will continue to be a bridge between tradition and governance, fostering development in Ibadanland and using his influence to further develop the great city.
