NCSU Award: President Tinubu Receives Prestigious Shield Honour

President Bola Tinubu has been honoured with The Nigeria Civil Service Union, NCSU Award, to commemorate the activities marking its 114th anniversary in Abuja.

The Union conferred its prestigious Shield Award on President Tinubu in recognition of what it described as his commitment to the welfare and advancement of Nigerian workers.

NCSU Award Presented at 114th Anniversary

The NCSU Award, described by the union as its highest honour, is reserved for individuals who have demonstrated exceptional service and dedication to Nigerian workers.

The award was received on behalf of President Tinubu by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Olorogun Festus Keyamo (SAN), at Merit House, Abuja.

Following the ceremony, Keyamo displayed the award in his office alongside members of the NCSU leadership.

Presenting the NCSU Award, the union’s National President, Comrade Oluwole Sunday, described President Tinubu as a “true shield of the Nigerian worker.”

Sunday said the President’s policies had consistently prioritised the interests of the labour force.

The union also said the President’s interventions had raised morale within the civil service and demonstrated concern for the well-being of workers across the country.

The NCSU Award was presented by the leadership of the Nigeria Civil Service Union, led by its National President, Comrade Oluwole Sunday.

He was joined by the immediate past President, Comrade Lawrence Ameachi, who also served as Chairman of the Occasion.

Other officials present included Comrade Adoga Gupada, Chairman of the Federal Council of the NCSU, and Comrade Yildet Bigwan, Assistant General Secretary.

The NCSU Award formed part of activities marking the union’s 114th anniversary.

The NCSU has 84 affiliates and a history spanning more than a century, predating the creation of Nigeria as an independent nation.

The union is also widely recognised for its historical role in advocating for Nigerian workers during the colonial era.

NCSU Award Received by Keyamo

Receiving the NCSU Award on behalf of President Tinubu, Keyamo expressed excitement over the honour from the union.

The Minister was also recognised by the NCSU for his continued solidarity with the Nigerian workforce.

Keyamo used the occasion to highlight what he described as President Tinubu’s commitment to the welfare of Nigerian workers.

The 114th anniversary celebration provided an opportunity for the union to honour President Tinubu while reflecting on its long history of representing Nigerian workers.
