The 2025 beneficiaries of the free Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) registration sponsored by the Hassan Olawale Giwa (HOG) Foundation have expressed profound appreciation to the founder, Arc. (Dr.) Hassan Olawale Giwa, for giving them the opportunity to pursue higher education.

‎The students, many of whom have now secured admission into various tertiary institutions, described the foundation’s intervention as a turning point in their academic journey. Their expressions of gratitude came days after the foundation held its annual educational support outreach in Ibadan.

Among the students currently enjoying the fruits of the initiative are Miss Ezekiel Rebecca Omolayo, now studying Science Laboratory Technology at the University of Ilesha; Ogunsola Olalekan, a Political Science undergraduate at LAUTECH, Ogbomoso; and Olaoye Alex, pursuing Electronics and Electrical Engineering at Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Saki.

‎Others who recently sat for the examination through the foundation and are awaiting admission: Akinwumi Hikmat, Bello Fathia and Ogunyemi Oluwadarasimi also conveyed their appreciation, noting that the free JAMB sponsorship eased the financial burden on their families and renewed their confidence in achieving their academic goals.

‎Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, the programme coordinator, Mr. Lanre Olatunde, said the students felt compelled to formally acknowledge the impact of the foundation after reflecting on how the gesture had positively shaped their future prospects.

‎“These students reached out to appreciate Arc. Hassan Giwa for giving them the opportunity many of them never believed they would have. Some of them are already in institutions of higher learning today because someone chose to invest in their dreams without asking for anything in return,” Mr. Lanre said.

‎He praised the founder for sustaining the JAMB sponsorship scheme for over two decades, describing him as a beacon of hope for many indigent families in Lagelu Local Government and beyond.

‎According to him, the students’ testimonies underscore the importance of sustained educational intervention, particularly at a time when many families are unable to afford basic academic expenses.

‎Mr. Olatunde further appealed to the beneficiaries to justify the investment by remaining dedicated to their studies, adding that the best way to honour the gesture is through academic excellence and responsible conduct.

In his reaction, Arc (Dr.) Hassan Giwa described the initiative as a timely intervention aimed at easing the burden on parents and strengthening access to quality education at the grassroots.

‎The Asiwaju Adini Musulumi of Ibadanland explained that the educational support initiative began over two decades ago, and has continued consistently without discrimination based on religion or political affiliation.

‎He assured not to relent in giving back to the people and the community through his foundation.

The HOG Foundation, renowned for its consistent humanitarian and educational support programmes, continues to provide JAMB forms, examination fees, school materials and other forms of assistance to youths across Oyo State.
