The chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Alhaji Fatai Bayonle Ibikunle has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the affirmation of his election by the supreme court.

Ibikunle, in his congratulatory statement, hailed the unanimous judgment of the seven man panel of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Inyang Okorocha as a landmark judgment in Nigeria’s democratic history.

According to the immediate past Chairman of the Nigerian Lottery Regulatory Commission, “today’s confirmation of the tribunal verdict has further strengthened the electoral credentials of the country by putting an end to the frivolous allegations, character assassination and destructive media trials sponsored by the petitioners.

“It is distressing that both former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party and former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi of Labour Party lacked democratic conscience in contesting the declaration of President Tinubu as originally pronounced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC in the February 25th, presidential election despite losing his homestead to the latter while former President Muhammed Buhari could not as well deliver his state to the candidate of his party in the keenly contested poll,” he lamented.

Ibikunle, in his remarks, implored all the good people across the length and breadth of the country regardless of the political leanings and ethnic backgrounds to keep hoping of a new and working Nigeria as being put in the process by the present administration led by President Bola Tinubu at the centre towards entrenching a prosperous economic system that will better and exceed the present generation.
