
A body of renowned Ibadan indigenes who are into professional media practice, Ibadan Mega Voice (IMV) has congratulated President Bola Tinubu and Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde on their inauguration as president and governor respectively.
The congratulatory message was contained in a statement signed by its President, Comrade Kola Olomide on Tuesday.
He described the duo’s victory as God’s ordained and charged them to ensure they fulfill all the promises made during the campaign.
Olomide charged Tinubu and Makinde to be good ambassadors of Yoruba race and govern with human face and fear of God, urging then to pour soothing oil where the shoe pinches Nigerians.
IMV president urged the president to learn from shortcomings of the immediate past Muhammadu Buhari-led administration, while urging Governor Makinde to look inward and make amends on some of the shortcomings of his first term.
Meanwhile, Comrade Olomide also congratulated Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba (Dr.) Mohood Olalekan Alli Okunmade II on the conferment of the CFR honour on him by the immediate past president, Muhammadu Buhari.
He reiterated that Kabiyesi’s reign has continued to bring more success and development to Ibadanland, praying for many more years of peaceful reign for the Olubadan.
Similarly, IMV President also extended its congratulatory message to the newly appointed Chief Press Secretary to Governor Seyi Makinde, Mr. Sulaiman Olanrewaju.
The group urged him to take media relations of the Governor to a better pedestal by ensuring conducive working environment and sound interpersonal relations with journalists in the state, especially the Governor’s Office correspondents.
Olomide wished the new CPS well in his new career as the Governor’s spokesperson.
