
As Muslim faithful get set for the celebration of Eid-el-Filtri marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan, the Federal Government has declared Friday, April 21 and Monday, April 24 as public holidays.
This was contained in a statement by the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola on behalf of the government.
The statement was signed by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr Shuaib Belgore.
Aregbesola congratulated Muslims for completing the holy month of Ramadan.
He called on them to imbibe the virtues of kindness, love, tolerance, peace, self-denial, sacrifice and good neighbourliness as exemplified by Holy Prophet Muhammed.
