SE/NE Federal Constituency: Dapo Lam Hope Hangs, To Jostle For 1200 Votes With Deficit Of 624 Votes 

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said that rescheduled elections will come up in a ward and some polling units in Ibadan South East/North East federal constituency due to wide margin in the numbers of votes cancelled and margin of lead.

The Electoral Officer, Dr. Akanni Lawanson explained that he has no authority to declare the winner where the number of votes cancelled and number of permanent voters cards collected at the ward where election was not held exceeded the margin between two leading candidates.

He reiterated that the INEC will reschedule elections at the ward where election was not conducted two units in ward 7 and where election was cancelled another unit in ward 12.

Dr. Lawanson said that the margin between the two leading candidates is less than 650, while the cancelled vote and number of PVC where election was not conducted is 1200.

Findings by ooduabulletin.com revealed that Hon. Adedapo Lam-Adesina is trailing the incumbent lawmaker, Hon. Abass Adigun with a margin of 624 votes.
