The President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan has disclosed that the 2023 Appropriation Bill will be passed into law on Thursday.
He gave the hint at Tuesday’s plenary when he read a letter transmitted to parliament from President Muhammadu Buhari on the Finance Bill 2022.
Senator Lawan said that the Finance Bill seeks to support the implementation of the 2023 budget in the areas of tax equity, response to climate challenges especially gas flaring, boost economic growth, among others.
The Senate President, therefore, mandated the Committee on Finance to work on the bill and submit during plenary on Wednesday.
