A member and lawmaker representing Atiba state constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Asimiyu Niran Alarape has empowered women, youths and people living with disability within the constituency with cash gift and other items.
Hon. Alarape, who was a former Speaker and presently the Minority Leader of the House also distributed items such as sewing machines, power generating sets, grinding machines, gas cylinders with burners, agriculture disinfectant sprayers and sandals for pupils of Oke Olola Primary School, Atiba Local Government, Oyo.

Speaking at the epoch making event which had chieftains and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in attendance, the Minority Leader said that the purpose of the empowerment programme is to demonstrate his commitment and giving back to the people of his constituency.
Hon. Alarape disclosed that he was moved by his background and believed that no amount of money is too small for petty traders to thrive their businesses, hence his decision to empower the women.
He said that as a constitutional responsibility of any legislator, he and his colleague, Hon. Isiaka Tunde facilitated the construction of Oroki to Asipa road project to Oyo.

Enimojuogun, as the lawmaker fondly called disclosed that he has sank boreholes, wells at various strategic places across the constituency especially in areas like Moleyo, Popo, Olokun Esin, Oke Ebo and Ashipa to solve the water related issue affecting the communities.
Speaking further on his scorecard, Hon. Alarape said that not less than 250 students have benefited from his free JAMB forms to enable them to progress in the course of their studies.
He, therefore, appealed to the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the gesture to better their lives.
in his goodwill message, a member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Akeem Adeyemi, eulogized Hon. Asimiyu Alarape for always making an effort to lift people in his constituency out of the poverty zone.

Skimeh, as he is well known, described the empowerment programme as a mouthwatering, noting that apart from various items to be distributed there is also financial assistance for about 200 people.
He appealed to the people in the constituency to continue to support the lawmaker in order to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
Hon. Isiaka Tunde described empowerment programmes for the members of a constituency as a way of boosting the morale of the party members and people within the constituency.
He said that this kind of programme will go a long way in solving poverty related issues and encourage political development in the constituency.
Hon. Arole urged the beneficiaries not to sold off the items given to them but to make good use of it for life improvement
The event was attended by political bigwigs in the constituency including APC chairman in Atiba Local Government, Hon. Ademola Adelowo, members of local government executive, ward chairmen and executive and all recognized state leaders form the council area.
