Obasanjo Pays Condolences Visit To Late Olubadan Family

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Thursday paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji, Aje Ogungunniso 1.

Obasanjo arrived at the Popoyemoja Palace of the late monarch around 7:10 am in company of the former Secretary to the State Government, Olayiwola Olakojo.

The former President was received by the widow, Alhaja Rasheedat and one of the chiefs, Nureni Akanbi, who is also an elder brother to the widow.

Obasanjo, while praying for the late monarch, promised his readiness to support the family whenever the occasion demands.

In his message in the condolence register, Obasanjo described Oba Adetunji as a selfless man, who committed himself to the service of humanity.

“Kabiesi, sun re! You lived for the service of family, community, state and the nation. You served committedly and God granted you longevity. We pray that your soul will be with your creator and the family and community will continue to thrive.”
