The founder of Shafaudeen In Islam Worldwide, Prof. Sabit Ariyo Olagoke has commissioned Shafaudeen National Headquarters Mosque, toiling of the soil for Shafaudeen Group of School and Shafaudeen Medical Center, as well as pure water factory projects to commemorate his 65 birthday anniversary.
The program was held at Shafautedo, Omi-Adio, Apata, Ibadan on Saturday.
The renowned cleric was also honoured by members of Oyo State Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).
This is to reciprocate the kind gestures he had extended to journalists in Oyo State.
Presenting the award of honour to Prof. Sabit, who is also the Patron of the Chapel, Chairman, Mr. Oluseye Ojo, said the award is to show appreciation to his many gestures.
Oluseye maintained that Prof. Sabit has contributed immensely to the development of the Chapel, noting that he deserves to be celebrated.
Prof. Olagoke, in his response, appreciated the entire members of the Chapel for the honour, he also promised his unflinching support to the development of the journalists, not only in the Chapel but the state in general.
In his lecture at the event, Prof. Olagoke, stated Islam as a religion, is for system-environment synergy with focus on peoples wellness and national development through the culture of patriotism, dignity of labour, good governance sincerity of purpose, transparency and accountability.
The cleric maintained that these are the principles leaders should adopt to gain people’s trust.
“These are posers for me and you on my birthday as I am moving towards the decay region of life, National rebirth therefore, since no religion teaches evil, is an antidote to National upheaval,” Prof. Olagoke said.
