The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji has installed the founder and Spiritual head of Shafaudeen In Islam, Prof. Sabi Olagoke Ariyo, as Mogaji Ogunelu Aare Alasa Dynasty of Oja’ba, Ibadan.
Speaking during the reception, the newly installed Mogaji of Ogunelu Aare Alasa Dynasty, Prof. Sabit Ariyo emphasized on unity of purpose beyond the terrain of pettiness between the sons and daughters of the family.
The founder of Shafaudeen In Islam expressed that his focus is to ensure sustaining of the valour of Ogunelu Aare Alasa family, saying that the family has the blueprint of integrity, boldness, courage and achievement, even down the memory lane of Lagelu, Latosa Ayeleru, Moyala and Oguntade/Baale Shittu.
Mogaji Olagoke maintained that he is ready to set an agenda for the dynamics of activities for the purpose of development and wellness of the people through strategic transformation deemed necessary.
He emphasized that in order to achieve his objective of development for the dynasty, Council of Elders, Judicial Council, Constitution Drafting, Review & Endorsement Committee, Empowerment Need Attendant Committee and Youth Committee will be inaugurated at the Aare Alasa Dynasty Mediation and Conciliation Centre (Igbejo) on 5th December, 2021.
Mogaji Olagoke established that the step will go a long way in making the proposals of the family come to reality. He noted further that it will assist in the settlement of conflicting stories between the Aare Latosa and Ogunelu Aare Alasa Dynasties.
He charged the entire family of Ogunelu Aare Alasa family to ensure unity, and be ready to defend and protect the liberty and right of the family.
“We must equally maintain good neighborliness with other families that hold in trust the peace and development of Ibadanland. We must be above all pettiness and forget our differences to allow love to be the driving engine of our faith and culture.”
