Following the slumped of the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the Commission has reacted to the development, saying that the chairman, Mr. Abdulrasheed Bawa ‘is hale and hearty’.
The commission confirmed that Bawa will soon be back to his desk.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Head of Media and Publicity; Mr. Wilson Uwujaren.
The statement reads: “The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Commission, (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa is hale and hearty.
“This clarification became necessary following an incident today September 16, 2021 at the Presidential Villa, Abuja where he was giving a goodwill message to the National Identity Day celebration, felt unwell and had to return to his seat.
“He has since received medical attention and is due back at his desk.”
Abdulrasheed Bawa was rushed out of Presidential Villa after he was slumped at a programme while presenting his goodwill message.
He was assisted back to his seat by the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Ali Pantami and other senior officials before he was rushed to an unknown destination.
