Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s son, Abba Atiku Abubakar, has pledged 10 buses to boost mobilisation activities for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Abba made the pledge during a visit to the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Secretariat in Abuja on Friday, where he was received by the party’s Deputy National Chairman (North), Bukar Dalori.
According to a statement issued by Yusi Buba, the APC Senior Special Assistant on Youth Mobilisation to the Deputy National Chairman, Abba expressed support for Tinubu’s administration and called for continuity beyond 2027.
The statement disclosed that the 10 buses would support activities aimed at mobilising Nigerians for the re-election of President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.
“In a demonstration of his commitment to the political engagement ahead of the 2027 general elections, Hon. Abba Atiku Abubakar announced the donation of ten buses to support activities aimed at mobilising support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in 2027,” the statement said.
Dalori reportedly welcomed Abba’s visit and acknowledged his pledge, describing it as support for the APC’s mobilisation efforts ahead of the next general elections.
Atiku Abubakar’s son, Abba Unveils Nationwide Mobilisation Plan for Tinubu
The donation of 10 buses comes amid Abba’s announcement of a nationwide mobilisation campaign in support of Tinubu’s second-term ambition.
At a press conference in Abuja on Friday, Abba unveiled the Haske Bola Tinubu Organisation, a political support platform established to coordinate activities in support of the President’s 2027 re-election bid.
He disclosed that the organisation would commence operations in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) before expanding its activities to other parts of the country.
Abba also announced plans to organise a two-million-man mobilisation march across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones, with Abuja serving as the starting point.
The proposed initiative is expected to form part of the organisation’s broader mobilisation activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Abba Defects From PDP to APC
Abba Atiku Abubakar joined the All Progressives Congress in January after leaving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Following his defection, he publicly declared support for President Tinubu’s second-term ambition and began making moves to mobilise support for the President ahead of the 2027 elections.
His latest pledge of 10 buses further highlights his involvement in political activities supporting the APC’s re-election campaign.
Atiku Set to Contest Against Tinubu in 2027
Abba’s political alignment with the APC has attracted attention because of his father’s political affiliation.
His father, former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, is the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the 2027 general election.
Atiku’s expected participation in the presidential race places him on a different political path from his son, who has openly declared support for Tinubu and the APC.
With the 2027 general elections approaching, Abba’s 10-bus pledge and nationwide mobilisation plans add another development to Nigeria’s evolving political landscape.
