Oyo Speaker, Ogundoyin Applauds Ibadan Central Bus Terminal Project

Oyo Assembly Speaker, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin

The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, has described the commissioning of the Ibadan Central Bus Terminal 1 & 2 as a vivid demonstration of the enduring gains of purposeful governance and the fruits of strategic infrastructure investment.

Speaking at the official commissioning ceremony held at Iwo Road, Ibadan, Hon. Ogundoyin commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his unwavering commitment to modernising Oyo State through massive infrastructure development.

The project, which was commissioned by former President Olusegun Obasanjo was held on Wednesday.

The Speaker recalled that only a few years ago, the project was flagged off on the same grounds, but despite the initial inconveniences to residents and businesses, the terminal today stands as a success story and a symbol of the “pain-to-progress” journey of development.

“There is no development without pain. The pain of yesterday has become the joy of today. This monumental edifice is a proof that Governor Makinde’s vision is not just transformational but also impactful. This terminal will improve mobility, ease congestion, and stimulate local commerce. To our people in Oyo State, I say : stay hopeful, better days are here.”

The Speaker further reiterated the commitment of the Oyo State House of Assembly to providing legislative backing for Governor Makinde’s development agenda.

“We will continue to stand behind this administration. As long as the vision is to uplift our people and modernise our state, we will remain a solid pillar of support.”
