The founder of Hassan Olawale Giwa (HOG) Foundation, Arc (Dr.) Hassan Giwa has described the 250 million naira Mega Empowerment & Economic Relief Programme by the Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu as a timely effort to support the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu in Oyo State.
Arc Giwa, in a statement by his media office, lauded the initiative of the Minister to bring forward empowerment and economic relief plans to improve the standard of living and foster sustainable development, adding the step is essential for the progress and stability of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
It will be recalled that the Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, under the auspices of Bayo Adelabu Foundation (BAF) rolled out a mega empowerment programme, which will be carried out in three distinct batches. While the first batch (N100 Million Business Support Grant) is set aside for traders, artisans, and farmers, the second batch (N100 Million Grant) is for the party faithful including youth, women, and leaders. The third batch (N50 Million Education and Cost of Living Support) is for students, widows, and people living with disabilities.
In line with President Bola Tinubu’s economic agenda, which has helped in launching initiatives to equip young Nigerians with digital skills, promote entrepreneurship, and create job opportunities across various sectors, Giwa said that the BAF’s 250 empowerment initiative will ensure economic development at the state level.
While calling on the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the opportunity to turn things around positively for themselves, the Asiwaju Adini Musulumi of Ibadanland, emphasized that the gesture is to cushion the effects of the present economic situation occasioned by the ongoing economic reforms by the Federal Government.
Arc Giwa however appreciated all members of the planning committee for ensuring that the programme is all-inclusive to capture those facing significant socio-economic challenges and party loyalists with the aim of improving their standard of living.
