The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has swore in the newly elected chairmen and vice chairmen across the 57 local governments and local council development areas (LCDAs).
Governor Sanwo-Olu reminded them that leadership is about service, saying that people have placed their trust and their dreams in their hands.
”They want safer streets, better roads, functional health centers, thriving schools, clean markets, and real opportunities for our youth.
”Lagos is counting on you to bring real development to every street, every ward, and every community.
”Local governments now have full autonomy, with direct access to their funds, and that means direct accountability. No excuses. We will support you, but we will also hold you to the highest standards. Lagos deserves nothing less,” the governor said.
