The Deputy Governor of Sokoto State, Engr. Idris Mohammed Gobir, members of the State Executive Council and leaders of All Progressives Congress (APC) have paid a condolence visit to the bereaved family of Alhaji Muhammadu Bello Sifawa over the loss of her daughter and three grandchildren.
Alhaji Muhammadu Bello Sifawa is the Secretary to the State Government of Sokoto State.
Numerous friends and well-wishers have visited Sifawa to extend their condolences and support to the bereaved family.
The tragic incident of the fire outbreak happened in the early hours of Monday.
The deceased was married to Alhaji Muhammadu Yusuf Bello, the Permanent Secretary of the State Ministry of Sports and Youth Development.
She was reportedly trapped with her children when the fire broke out while they were asleep.
Tragically, only her husband survived the incident.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, as firefighters from the Sokoto State Fire Service battled the blaze for hours before bringing it under control.
The victims are set to be laid to rest later today at the Sheikh Shehu Usmanu Danfodiyo Mosque in Sifawa.
This devastating incident has drawn an outpouring of grief and solidarity.
