Vatel CEO, Engr. Azeez Bags Media Emerging Entrepreneur Award

In order to encourage his spirited efforts in contributing to the development of the society and ensuring life is worth living for the less privileged people, an Ibadan-based media outfit, Happy People Magazine has honoured Engr. Babatunde Azeez with an Emerging Entrepreneur Award.

The ceremony, which was held at The Space Lounge, MKO Abiola way, Ring Road Ibadan on Saturday, was to commemorate the 10th year anniversary of the media organization.

According to the Publisher and Chief Executive Officer of the organization, Oludotun Ajibola, the award part of the event is to appreciate the people, who have contributed in one way or the other to the growth and development of the society in their individual capacity.

He noted further that it is also meant to acknowledge the people who have been supporting the organization in the last ten years of its existence.

One of the awardees at the well attended ceremony was Engr. Babatunde Azeez, who was honoured with an Emerging Entrepreneur Award.

Engr. Azeez, who is popularly called Opomulero, is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of VATEL Group of companies, a conglomerate of registered companies specialized in the real estate business, educational services, and technology and networks solutions.

He is also the founder of a nongovernmental organization called, Onilabu Foko’le Foundation (OFF). Through the foundation, Engr. Azeez has been reaching out to the less privileged people in the society and helped so many people, particularly youths in the aspect of employment because of his belief in human development.

The CEO of Vatel Group, in his goodwill message, appreciated the organizer for finding him worthy of the award, noting that it is a way of encouraging him to do more for the people.

Engr. Azeez promised not to relent in his oars in contributing his own quota towards the development of the people and society at large. He also assured the organizer of his continuous support whenever he is called upon.

He dedicated the award to his family, for their support at all times, the entire staff of his companies for their dedication and to the less privileged people in the society through whom his efforts are acknowledged and recognized.
