Oyo Government Opens Portal For 7,000 Primary School Teachers

The Oyo State Government has said the job portal for public primary school teachers in the state, will be opened by 6pm on Tuesday, June 25, 2024.

The Chairman, Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr. Nureni Adeniran, disclosed this while briefing newsmen at the Board headquarters in Ibadan.

Dr. Adeniran said that the opening is part of the Oyo State government’s bid to reduce unemployment amongst its citizenry.

The portal, according to Dr. Adeniran, would register each candidate with his/her email, phone number and National Identification Number (NIN), among other requirements, with a view to provide them jobs suitable for them, either as teachers or caregivers.

Adeniran gave the site address as subeb.jobportal.oyostate.gov.ng for the recruitment of 7,000 teachers and 100 caregivers.

According to him, the application will be on for the next three weeks, from June 25, 2024-July 9, 2024.

“The government of Oyo State wants to expand the job space in the basic education sub-sector and those who are interested in working as caregivers,” Adeniran said.

“Education is a major pillar of the Governor Seyi Makinde ‘s administration. We are going to have an inclusive government that will utilise valuable potentials that abound in the State and that’s why we are employing new primary school teachers”.

“Applicants can channel their complaints, or challenges encountered in the process of the online application, through the support service, to the phone number and email provided on the website for free support services”, he assured.

He advised applicants to upload necessary documents, adding that the recruitment will be transparent, fair, credible and based on merit.

Dr. Adeniran said the application will involve three processes, including online application; CBT examination; and Oral interview.

The SUBEB Boss advised applicants to be wary of scammers, adding that the only portal for the job application is the one provided above.

Dr. Adeniran equally said the application process from beginning to the end is free of charge.

He added that no person, either staff or non-staff is assigned to collect money from any applicant.

The SUBEB boss, therefore, thanked Governor Seyi Makinde for his magnanimity, saying the board will not disappoint him.
