Lagos Governor, Sanwo-Olu Joins Tiwa Savage To Unveil Music Foundation

The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has joined the Hip-Hop icon, Tiwa Savage, to unveil her music foundation tagged ‘Tiwa Savage Music Foundation’.

The event, which was attended by prominent figures in the entertainment sector, including the Commissioner for Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka, was held on March 9 at The Delborough Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos State.

The initiative, founded by renowned Nigerian music icon Tiwa Savage, was in collaboration with Berklee College of Music and aims to empower emerging African creatives by providing access to world-class music education, mentorship, and professional training.

It is also part of the Foundation’s inaugural programme, “Berklee in Nigeria: Tiwa Savage Intensive Music Program”.

Meanwhile, 100 participants will receive hands-on training in music production, songwriting, sound engineering, and other key aspects of the music industry.

The programme is scheduled to take place in Lagos between April 23 and April 26, 2026.

According to the founder of the foundation, the programme is tuition-free, while participants will be responsible for their travel and accommodation within Lagos State.

Applications for the programme are open until March 20, 2026.
