The governorship aspirant under the umbrella of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem (AKK), has paid a royal visit to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Ladoja.

Dr. Kareem used the visit to officially present his book, ‘Our Realistic Tomorrow’, and unveil his blueprint to the Olubadan.

AKK, in his presentation, disclosed that his blueprint aims to advance progressive governance and visionary leadership in Oyo State.

He highlighted the enduring relevance of traditional institutions in guiding political leadership, social cohesion, and sustainable development.

The APC governorship aspirant further explained that his blueprint, “Our Realistic Tomorrow”, is a policy-oriented work designed to provide practical solutions to contemporary governance challenges, including economic development, youth empowerment, institutional strengthening, education reform, and ethical leadership.

Dr. Kareem emphasized that the blueprint is aligned with the progressive ideals of the All Progressives Congress Renewed Hope Agenda, focused on people-centred governance.

“As Oyo State navigates the demands of modern governance, the ideas articulated in ‘Our Realistic Tomorrow’ and the royal engagement with the Olubadan stand as a call to purposeful leadership—one that respects tradition, embraces informed counsel, adapts global ideas to local realities, and prioritizes the welfare of the people.”

‎While welcoming Dr. Adewale Kareem and his entourage to his palace, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, commended AKK for his respectful approach and thoughtful engagement.

Olubadan described AKK’s ambition to contest for the state governor’s seat as a courageous and timely initiative.

He advised AKK to continuously seek guidance from his seniors and leaders, particularly Senator Teslim Folarin, to strengthen his vision and political strategy.

Olubadan also advised that while international best practices are important, such ideas must be carefully adapted and made relevant to the unique social, cultural, and economic realities of Oyo State.

Oba Rashidi Ladoja further commended the AKK team for their dedication and hard work, urging them to remain loyal, united, and committed in their support of their principal.

The visit witnessed the attendance of distinguished political leaders and stakeholders, including Oyo State Coordinator of Renewed Hope Agenda, Senator Teslim Folarin; Chief Mutiat Ladoja; Chief Bolajoko Doherty, Alhaji Ademola Wasiu Ali; Alhaji Yinka Folarin, and many others, who underscored the political significance of the engagement and reflected a shared commitment to the future development of Oyo State.
