The Immediate Past Chairman of the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC), Aare Isiaka Abiola Olagunju, SAN, has congratulated Governor Seyi Makinde on the occasion of his 58th birthday anniversary.
Olagunju described the governor as a visionary leader whose style of governance continues to put the state at the forefront among the states in the country.
In a statement signed by the legal luminary and Chairman, Governing Council of Egbe Amofin Oodua (The Yoruba Lawyers Forum) on Thursday, Aare Olagunju commended Governor Makinde for his commitment to inclusive development, infrastructural renewal, and the welfare of citizens across Oyo State.
He noted that under the governor’s leadership, the state has witnessed remarkable progress in nearly every sector, adding that the administration’s people-oriented policies have strengthened public trust in governance.
According to him, Governor Makinde’s humility, courage, and pragmatic approach to leadership have distinguished him as a statesman and a role model to upcoming leaders.
The statement reads:
“On behalf of my family, I congratulate His Excellency, the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, FNSE, on the occasion of his 58th birthday. I pray that Almighty God shall continue to guide, guard, and bestow on him wisdom, knowledge, and all prerequisites to lead us aright at all times.
“There is no doubt that your tenure has brought so much progress and development to the government and people of Oyo State.
May God continue to attend to all your efforts with success,” Olagunju added.
Aare Olagunju urged residents of the state to continue supporting the Makinde-led administration in its quest to build a more prosperous and united Oyo State.
