The Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has approved the appointment of Dr. Jonathan Adedokun as the new Rector of Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa.
In a statement by the Press Officer attached to the Ministry, Mrs. Omotoso Olukemi, the governor, in the same vein, approved for the appointments of Mrs. Akintunde Abosede and Mrs. Adejuwon Sekinat as the Registrar and Bursar of the institution.
The Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Olusegun Olayiwola, disclosed this on Tuesday in his office after receiving the approval letter from the governor.
Hon. Olayiwola explained that the appointments of the three principal officers followed due process, noting that the exercise commenced with a public advertisement in the national newspapers and was followed by series of interviews conducted by the Governing Council of the institution, chaired by Prof. Kazeem Adebiyi.
According to the Commissioner, the Governing Council’s report was subsequently submitted to his office, upon which he made recommendations to the Governor.
Olayiwola said that the recommendations culminated in the final approval and appointment by Governor Seyi Makinde.
While congratulating the newly appointed officers, the Commissioner stated that their appointments take effect from December 15, 2025, and are for a single tenure of five years.
