Chief Mutiu Adetunji Becomes YOSBA Patron, Donates To Promote Sportscasting

The Yoruba Sports Broadcasters Association, Oyo State Chapter (YOSBA), Oyo State chapter, has appointed Chief Mutiu Atanda Adetunji as Patron of the association.

This is part of the association’s ongoing efforts to deepen relationships with prominent figures who have aided community development and youth empowerment throughout Yorubaland.

Chief Mutiu Adetunji is the Chief Executive Officer of Okikijesu Construction Company. The honour was conferred on him when the body paid a courtesy visit  to his office in Ajanla Farms, Sanusi Village, Ibadan.

During the visit on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, the organization formally appointed Chief Mutiu Atanda Adetunji as Patron of YOSBA in appreciation of his remarkable contributions to grassroots development, generosity, and consistent support for sports and media practitioners.

Chief Adetunji greeted the delegation heartily and expressed immense gratitude for the honor. He praised the association’s professionalism and unity of purpose, emphasizing the importance of sports broadcasting in fostering culture, entertainment, and youth participation.

Chief Adetunji committed to continue supporting the association’s developmental endeavors. He also hosted a friendly reception for YOSBA members at his office, where they discussed future cooperation and community impact projects.

Alhaji Olawale Hamzat, who led the YOSBA members to the place, lauded Chief Adetunji’s humility, generosity, and commitment to advancing the Yoruba community while speaking on behalf of the association.

He described the appointment as “well-deserved” and expressed confidence that Chief Adetunji’s patronage would inspire more professionals within and beyond the broadcasting industry.

The atmosphere was filled with optimism as attendees discussed potential initiatives that could further strengthen their collaborative efforts. Many expressed hope that this newfound partnership would lead to innovative projects that could significantly benefit the broadcast community in the years to come, while they exchanged souvenirs, and offered prayers for continued success and partnership.
