In commemoration of Nigeria’s Independence Day, PowerBlink Venture/Football Club has hosted a thrilling one-day tournament on October 1st, bringing together talented young footballers from Ibeju Lekki and surrounding areas.
The tournament, which featured teams in various age categories, Under 10, Under 13, and Under 15), was a resounding success, with participating teams showcasing exceptional skill, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
The Chief Executive Officer of Powerlink Venture/Football Club, Coach Elijah Opetunde, extended his heartfelt appreciation to coaches and participating teams for the success of the tournament.
Some of the coaches are Coach Abudulahi (Addington FA), Coach Balogun (Noble 5 Star FA), Coach Adepoju (Pivotal FA), Coach Moses (Elite FA) and Coach Yusuf (Panthers FA)
According to Coach Elijah Opetunde, “Our goal is to provide a platform for young footballers to develop their skills, build their confidence, and showcase their talents. We are committed to promoting grassroots football development in Ibeju Lekki and beyond.”
He called on individuals and corporate organizations to support the initiative to provide opportunities for young talents.
“We invite companies and individuals to support our initiative by sponsoring our future tournaments. Your contribution will help us continue to provide opportunities for young footballers to grow and succeed.
“Let’s work together to promote grassroots football development and empower the next generation of football stars,” Coach Elijah Opatunde appealed.
