Oyo Assembly Member, Hon. Fowokanmi Congratulates Oba Rashidi Ladoja On His Birthday, Coronation

A member representing Ibadan South West state constituency 2 in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Oluwafemi Adebayo Oluwafowokanmi, has joined numerous well-wishers across Nigeria to celebrate the Olubadan-designate, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa 1, on the occasion of his 81st birthday.

The lawmaker also passed on good wishes to the former Governor of the state on his ascension to the exalted throne of the Olubadan of Ibadanland.

Hon. Oluwafowokanmi, in his congratulatory message to the Olubadan of Ibadanland come tomorrow, Friday, September 26th, 2025, described the birthday celebrant as a man of the people with a very impressive trajectory in business, politics, and traditional institutions.

The lawmaker, who is the Chairman of the House Committee on Tertiary Education, disclosed that Oba Ladoja is a visionary leader and a mentor to many in their political journey, of which he is one of them.

Hon. Fowokanmi also extended his congratulatory message to the state Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, who he described as a truly ‘God Sent Man’ to the people of Oyo State, for his support to the traditional institution.

“It is the dawn of a new era in Ibadan, especially in its traditional institution legacy. I congratulate my father and my political mentor, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa 1, on the occasion of his 81st birthday and his ascension to the exalted position of the Olubadan of Ibadanland come tomorrow, September 26.

“Kabiyesi, as you are celebrating your birthday today, I pray for many prosperous and productive years ahead.

“As you are ascending the throne of your forefathers, I believe your reign as Olubadan of Ibadanland will mark a significant milestone in the history of Ibadan, our dear Oyo state and Nigeria as a whole.
