The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has congratulated the Ibadan North Federal constituency House of Representatives member-elect, Hon. Folajinmi Oyekunle.
The congratulatory message was contained in a statement issued by the Chairman, APC Campaign Council for Ibadan North Federal Constituency by-election, Hon. Akin Alabi on Monday.
Hon. Alabi, in his reaction to the outcome of the August 16, 2025 bye-election, disclosed that the party will take the outcome to critically assess its performance, identify areas where things fell short, and take corrective steps ahead of the future.
He maintained that it is imperative that all party leaders, stakeholders and members across all groups and tendencies come together in unity and purpose for a genuine collaboration and internal cohesion to build a formidable force capable of reclaiming the party’s lost ground in Oyo State.
Hon. Alabi charged them to begin preparation for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu.

ON THE RECENT IBADAN NORTH BY-ELECTION AND THE WAY FORWARD FOR OUR PARTY
The recently concluded by-election for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency, held last Saturday, has come and gone. We extend our congratulations to Hon. Folajinmi Oyekunle of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on his victory.
As members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), this is a moment for sober reflection. The outcome of the election offers us an opportunity to critically assess our performance, identify areas where we fell short, and take corrective steps moving forward.
It is imperative that all party leaders, stakeholders and members across all groups and tendencies, come together in unity and purpose. Only through genuine collaboration and internal cohesion can we build a formidable force capable of reclaiming lost ground.
As we look ahead to the 2027 general elections, our immediate task is clear: to begin strategic preparation for the re-election of our leader and President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Let us move forward with renewed commitment, clear strategy, and unity of purpose.
