Some members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) majorly youths in Ibadan North Local Government have staged a protest.

‎The protest was due to delay in the presentation of party candidate for the August 16 Ibadan North Federal Constituency House of Representatives bye-election.

‎The protesters, who assembled in their numbers at the frontage of the party’s secretariat, Oke-Ado area of Ibadan on Friday, were seeing carrying placards with various inscriptions to express their grievances.

‎Speaking with journalists during the protest, one of the protesters, Mr. Segun Adetula, called for the intervention of President, National and state leaders of the party to present a competent and credible candidate for the by-election.

‎Adetula, who frowned at the failure of the party leaders to conduct free, fair and credible primary in the constituency, disclosed that opposition party must not take the advantage of the situation to snatch the seat formerly occupied by a member of the party.
